Ecological Project in Isabela

BACKGROUND:
Isabela Island is the largest island from Galápagos. Isabela is rich in flora and fauna, Isabela’s marine and animal life is beyond compare, it has unique species and is the home of an important amount of wild tortoises, other noted species include penguins, cormorants, marine iguanas, boobies, pelicans, Galapagos Land Iguanas , Galápagos Hawks, Galápagos Doves and very interesting lowland vegetation. The west coast of Isabela in the Bolivar Channel is the best place in Galapagos for viewing whales and dolphin.

THE PROJECT

Volunteers can help into the area of plants conservation in the greenhouse, and also, volunteers can help in the area of the turtles, this is an ecolodge which helps to the National Park in that way, they help to the National Park in their conservation efforts

VOLUNTARY WORK
- To help by feeding the turtles
- To help by cleansing the area where they live
- To help into the area of agriculture
- To help in the eradication of the species that have been introduced by men (plants and animals)
- To help by seeding native plants from Galápagos
- To help by taking care of the native plants from Galápagos
